Pastor's Bio


Rev. Dr. Moon Ho Kim was born in S. Korea and came to the U.S. right after finishing college in Seoul, S. Korea. He earned his Masters of Divinity from Drew University in 1981 and was ordained in the New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Since then he has been serving in Angelo-American congregations in the Albany and Syracuse areas for more than 3 decades.

Rev. Kim then went on to obtain his Doctorate of Ministry from Drew University in 1999. He has worked as:
Dean of Northeast Jurisdictional School of Evangelism
Executive Committee of Northeast Jurisdiction
Dean of Bishop’s Convocation of the former West NY Conference and North Central Conference
Leadership Table of Northeast Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church

His specialty is how to revitalize church congregations equipping pastors and lay leadership of local churches with evangelistic strategies, particularly in small group settings.  He loves a spirit filled and uplifting worship service.  

With his wife Insouk who studied fine arts in Berlin, Germany and obtained her BFA from Cazenovia College, they raised two sons. Daniel is a lawyer working in a law firm in downtown Washington, DC and his wife Jodie, working as a civil engineer also in Washington, DC and David is working as an underwriter at AIG on Wall Street, New York City.  He is living now with his wife, Anais and their daughter, Victoria in Westchester County, NY.
