Knitting and Crocheting
Joyce Ashe, Chairperson
What a wonderful group of ladies we have.
We average about 12 or so each week on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. in the church lounge. We are a mission group that knit and crochet for others, everything from baby hats, children's sweaters, teddy bear sweaters, children's hats, blankets, scarves, prayer shawls, mittens, and every so often, we find something new to make. Hundreds of items are given away to those in need. Look for our display on the communion rail in the sanctuary soon.
Not all of us knit or crochet, but simply come to visit. All are welcome. You do not have to be a member of our church to be one of us. It is fun to see our friendships grow week after week. We will be having a mystery ride and luncheon on Wednesday June 22nd. Those wishing to go are to meet in our church parking lot at noon on that day. Reservations will be made at an undisclosed area restaurant, so we need to know how many plan on going and how many can help us out by driving. We will form a caravan. Later on in the summer, a covered dish will take place at Joyce Ashe's camp on Mayfield Lake. As of now, we are looking at Wednesday August 17th or August 24th.
Happy knitting and crocheting!
