About Foothills United Methodist Church:

Foothills United Methodist Church came into being on January 1, 2005 as a results of the merger of 1st United Methodist Church of Johnstown/Gloversville and the Fremont United Methodist of Gloversville. It received its formal naming by Bishop Susan Murch Morrison on January 9, 2005.
While Foothills UMC is currently meeting at the former Fremont Church building, we are actively planning our new church on the corner of Route 30A and South Kingsboro Avenue in Gloversville, NY.
Vision Statement: The vision of the Foothills United Methodist Church is to reach out in love to serve, nurture and touch lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Adopted March 1, 2005
Mission Statement: The mission of the Foothills United Methodist Church is to serve as a lighthouse, reaching out with God's love and acceptance, sharing our faith, serving our communities, and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people. Adopted March 1, 2005
